Most artists who reside in RAAM103vzw tend to use the space as a temporary studio. For Sophia and Marie, however, RAAM103vzw lends itself as something different entirely. Dare we say: as a personal playground? With found materials, both of natural origin (sticks, stones…) or more industrial origin (plastic tubes, wiring…) they create fragile, dreamy, and playful installations that are constantly altered, according to whatever inspires them at the moment: newly found objects, a different way of arranging the objects in the room, almost as a 3D-sketch… There’s always something going on, which does not always attract your attention at first glance. In other words, the viewer is unintentionally invited to join in, to play the game with them of discovering where or when something has been added, removed, changed…
